Helping the kids who carry the heaviest burdens

How can we do our best for the children in our midst who carry the heaviest burdens? Starting January 11, SCYM is partnering with the Nehemiah Foundation to offer a new series of four workshops designed for volunteers, mentors, church teachers and leaders, and anyone who works with children in the faith-based community.

handsPresented by experienced professionals, each workshop will cover a basic overview of the topic; help you learn where to find help in the community; and discuss how we can help children who face challenging circumstances.

All workshops are free, open to the community, and held at Maiden Lane Church of God (1201 Maiden Lane, Springfield, Ohio.)

Topics covered: ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar, Attachment Disorders

Saturday, February 1, 9:00-11:00
BEYOND OUR COMFORT ZONE: Helping “those kids” become “our kids” in the church
Featuring a panel of church staff and laypeople from Springfield churches
