In case you missed it, here’s the short version: Last Christmas a whole bunch of generous people went to Beacon of Hope Bookstore and paid for a Bible to go to a Springfield kid. This summer, somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 Bibles went home with every kid who came to Camp Boost Summer Reading Clubs at three different churches.
And they weren’t just any Bibles, either, they were Bibles that kids didn’t want to put down! (Have you ever seen an 11-year-old boy who didn’t want to stop reading his Bible? It’s pretty awesome.)
Well, guess what … we are ready to make it happen all over again in 2015! That’s right, our year-end Bible drive is kicking off and we need YOU to help give 180 Bibles to Springfield kids. Whether you buy a Bible or just help spread the word, every contribution helps!
Here’s how it works:
1. Stop by Beacon of Hope Bookstore anytime between now and December 31.
2. Choose which Bible you would like to donate to a Springfield kid at Camp Boost next summer. There are two to choose from, the Jesus Storybook Bible (special Bible drive price: $9.99) and the Action Bible (special Bible drive price: $16.99). A friendly Beacon of Hope staff person will ring up your purchase.
3. While you’re at the store, fill out your name and email so that SCYM can send you a receipt and updates on the drive.
4. That’s it! The Bible stays at Beacon of Hope, and it will go home with a Springfield kid next summer at Camp Boost.
5. Know that you are making it possible for a Springfield child and their family to read God’s word in a powerful way!
